Deleting your account and data
Overhaul Prep — Kyle Hedlund
You can delete your Overhaul Prep account yourself, at any time, from inside the app. You don't need to ask us and you don't need a reason.
How to delete your account
- Sign in at overhaulprep.app — in the mobile app, open Account from the menu.
- Go to Your account → Delete my account.
- Enter your password, type DELETE to confirm, and submit.
Deletion happens immediately. If you have a paid subscription it is cancelled at the same time, and you won't be billed again.
What gets deleted
- Your account record — email address and password.
- All of your study data: questions answered, scores, readiness figures, and exam history.
- Any pending team invitations addressed to you.
- Your membership in any shop or fleet team.
What is kept, and why
- Reviews you left stay published on the site, with your account unlinked from them so they are no longer connected to you or your email address. Ask us if you want the text itself taken down.
- Payment and invoice records are held by our payment processor, Stripe, for as long as tax and accounting law requires. We can't delete those, and we don't control them.
- Anonymous, aggregated counts — for example "how many questions were answered on the site today" — contain nothing that identifies you and are not reversible.
If you can't sign in
Use the password reset first — it's the fastest route back in. If you still can't reach your account, email legal@overhaulprep.app from the address on the account and we'll delete it for you. We answer these within 30 days, and usually far sooner.
Team accounts
If you own a shop or fleet team, cancel the team plan before deleting your own account — otherwise everyone on your team would lose access without warning. Members of a team can delete their own account at any time; it frees up the seat and doesn't affect anyone else.
