Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of Overhaul Prep (the "Service"), operated by Kyle Hedlund. By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

The Service

Overhaul Prep provides practice questions and study tools for automotive (ASE), medium/heavy-truck, emergency-vehicle (EVT), EPA Section 609, and manufacturer diesel-engine (Cummins, Detroit) certification exams. It is a study aid — we do not administer the exams and do not guarantee any result.

Accounts

You're responsible for your login and for keeping your password secure. Provide accurate information and don't share your account.

Subscriptions, trials & billing

• Paid plans renew automatically until you cancel — monthly plans bill every month, annual plans bill once a year, and team plans bill per seat on the same cycle.
• Your free trial requires no credit card and does not convert to a paid plan on its own. When the trial ends, access simply pauses until you choose to subscribe — you are never charged automatically from a trial.
• You can cancel anytime from your account (the Stripe Customer Portal). Cancellation stops future renewals; your access continues to the end of the period you've already paid for.
• Refunds: we do not provide refunds for partial billing periods. Because the trial is free and card-free, you can try the Service at no risk; once subscribed, cancel anytime to stop future charges.
• Prices may change with notice for future billing periods; the price you're paying won't change mid-term.

Acceptable use

Don't resell, scrape, bulk-download, or redistribute the questions; don't share your account; don't attempt to break or abuse the Service. Content is licensed to you for personal study only.

Intellectual property & trademarks

The questions, explanations, and app are our intellectual property. "ASE", "EVT", "EPA", "Cummins", "Detroit Diesel" and related names are trademarks of their respective owners. Overhaul Prep is an independent study aid and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE), the EVT Certification Commission, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Cummins Inc., or Detroit Diesel / Daimler Truck.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is." We strive for accuracy but do not warrant that content is error-free or current; verify any critical specification against the current standard. Passing any exam is not guaranteed.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
